Tom Moore - GCAT HEAD COACH (ASCA LEVEL II)
Coach Tom originally from Martinsville, Indiana has been
involved with the sport of competitive swimming in some way, shape
or form for over 20 years. While in High School Tom finished in the
top 10 in the state several times. His best events were Fly, Back
and IM. Tom graduated from Ball State University in 2002 with a BS
in Physical Education and minors in Adapted Physical Education
and Aquatics. While attending BSU Tom specialized in the 100 &
200 Fly, 200 & 400 IM scoring at the Mid-American Conference
meet three times. After college Coach Tom has worked
with Center Grove Aquatic Club and Southeastern Swim Club.
While coaching at SSC & Hamilton Southeastern High School,
Tom had five 10 and under state champions as the head 10 and
under coach (SSC) and picked up a IHSAA boys state
championship ring as an assistant high school coach (HSE). Coach
Tom has been coaching in Greenfield since 2005. In August 2008
Coach Tom started GCAT (Greenfield Community Aquatic
Team). Tom is married to his very understanding wife
Brittany and they have a son named Braylon.
Erin Newell - Jaguars Coach (ASCA LEVEL I)
Erin has been coaching for GCAT since day one (2007). Prior
to coaching here, she coached Developmental and Age Group teams for
Donner Swim Club in Columbus, IN. Erin swam for
Cumberland College where she specialized in distance events
such as the 400IM and the mile. While at Cumberland Erin earned a
degree in
Middle School Education and now teaches
7th grade Math and Science at Carmel Middle School.
